In 2004, a 29 acre parcel of land was leased on the St. Petersberg Intl airport from Pinellas County. The site had 2 large aviatiion hangars totaling 120,000 sq ft. Refurbishment of the property and structures was completed in 2005 and the entire facility was leased to Avantair Inc, who operates a fractional aircraft company. The facility is the corporate headquarters for Avantair Inc. The property has approx 15 years remaining on the lease.
